Meals and Accommodations

Fest Hall Restaurant-- Bethel's Fest Hall Restaurant is open seven days a week from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with smorgasbord on Sundays at noon,  and it serves some of the best home-style food in northern Missouri.  Simple, good quality fare, generous portions and reasonable family prices make it a meal worth the trip to Bethel.

The Bethel Colony Bed and Breakfast-- this Bed & Breakfast, located on the second floor of the Fest Hall, includes a plain, simple room (some with original Colony furniture), plus a full country breakfast highlighted by home-baked bread and Bethel's famous apple butter—for a very reasonable price.  Phone the Fest Hall at 660/284-6493 to make reservations.

The Claus House-- Also know as Mable's Guest House.  The large "four square" turn of the century house was the home of Eugene Bair.  In the early 1950's it was turned into apartments for the purpose of providing much needed housing for the teachers at the Bethel school.  In the early 1970's a group of Artisans were encouraged to come to Historic Bethel and now another twenty years has past and once again this Historic House is meeting the need for extra guest rooms.  Mabel, whose maiden name was "Claus" uses her locally handcrafted "Old World St. Nicks" throughout the house as year round decor, along with her family handmade quilts and furniture of the period.  For reservations, phone 573/633-2265.
